ExtendLove.org Launches on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is upon us. On a holiday that celebrates love and relationships, many Americans are reminded that their committed relationships aren't legally recognized, their love dismissed. In the U.S. only one state recognizes same-sex marriage and six others provide the equivalent of state-level spousal rights to same-sex couples.

ExtendLove.org serves to forward public discourse on the importance of marriage equality as well as track state legislation affecting same-sex marriage and relationship recognition.

To celebrate the launch of ExtendLove.org, we will be giving out roses at Union Square in New York City on Valentine's Day. We wish to extend love to everyone, because love should be open to everyone. Please join us.

Often a controversial issue, marriage equality continues to be a part of contemporary political dialogue. To engage politicians, ExtendLove.org is sending roses to presidential candidates urging them to support marriage equality. If you would like to send a rose to your legislator to show your support for marriage equality, please visit the Send a Rose page.
